Geographic Location

Gainesville has grown from a stagecoach stop in the early 1800’s and a grain and livestock depot later on, to a thriving community. Located just 40 minutes outside of Washington, DC, Gainesville has access to I-66 and RT 29 making commuting very convenient to areas such as Manassas, Front Royal, and Centreville. Furthermore, it’s only 20 minutes to some of the finest Virginia wineries.

This area has grown into a destination for shopping, entertainment, and restaurants. It’s also a short distance from historic Manassas National Battlefield Park, lakes, golf course communities, and plenty of family friendly attractions.

Jiffy Lube Live:  A major entertainment facility which opened in 1995 formerly known as “Nissan Pavilion” is an outdoor live performance amphitheater, which can seat 25,262 (10,444 reserved seats and 14,818 lawn seats) featuring top artists, and festivals.
Cabela’s: Known as the self-proclaimed “World’s Foremost  Outfitter”, Cabela’s is a 79,000 Sq.Ft. outdoor retailer with plenty of activities such as an indoor archery test area, an aquarium, museum-quality wildlife displays, a gun library, and a full-service boat shop.
The Virginia Gateway: A gorgeous town center with theaters, shopping, restaurants and specialty shops along the promenade. It includes the Atlas Walk, which has ice cream and coffee shops, specialty wines, clothing stores, hair salons, and much more!
Shops at Stonewall: Featuring Wegmans, Dicks Sporting Goods, Bed Bath and Beyond, Michaels, and many more shops and restaurants.

Transportation Options

Linton Hall Metro Direct: A commuter bus with weekday service between Gainesville and the Tysons Corner Metro station.
Omni Ride: A PRTC (Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission) commuter bus with Monday through Friday service from both Gainesville to Washington and Gainesville to the Pentagon in the morning and afternoon.
VRE Train or Amtrak: The closest stations are Broad Run, Manassas, and Manassas Park.
Commuter Lot: Ride sharing is conveniently located on Limestone Dr. near Linton Hall Rd.
Dulles International Airport: Fifteen miles away.
