Leesburg is located approximately 33 miles west-northwest of Washington DC at the base of the Catoctin Mountain and adjacent to the Potomac River. Occupying 12.47 square miles, Leesburg is a historic town, which sits in the heart of the county seat of Loudoun County—one of the fastest growing counties in the country.

Leesburg has changed many times since its establishment in 1758. The historic town has received a facelift several times throughout the Civil War and both WWI and WWII. For over 250 years, the Town of Leesburg has been the original farm-to-market location and cultural hub of Loudoun County. Visit the local galleries filled with the masterful creations of local artisans, bike along the W&OD Trail, relax on the Town green while listening to live music performances or dine in one of our award winning restaurants. There is no shortage of things to do in and around Leesburg. Loudoun County is has an increasing number of wineries and vineyards as well as come of the best dining opportunities in Northern Virginia. Transportation Options

The Dulles Greenway toll road provides direct access to Dulles International Airport (which is only 13 miles away) as well as access to Fairfax County, Arlington, and D.C. The Leesburg Executive Airport also provides easy access for businesses into and out of the area.
Loudoun County Transit provides commuter bus service to the West Falls Church Metro Station, Rosslyn, the Pentagon, and Washington DC, as well as to different sites within Loudoun County.
Routes 15 and 7 intersect Leesburg, providing highway access in all directions.

Annual Events
Although the town of Leesburg produces many events throughout the year to celebrate as a community the many traditional holidays, there are several signature events:
     First Fridays happen every month in downtown Leesburg. You will experience good music, good food and beverage, and special treats from local shops. Everyone comes out and fills the streets for an overall great time.
     Flower & Garden Festival- held every year on the 3rd weekend in April, the Flower & Garden Festival turns the historic downtown of Leesburg  into a wonderland of gardens             
     4th of July Independence Day celebration begins with a parade followed by an evening concert and fireworks display at Ida Lee Park    
     Leesburg Airshow - held at the Leesburg Executive Airport on the last Saturday in September, the airshow provides plenty of thrills with daring aerobatic performances.

     5th Annual Flower Sales for Loudoun Hunger Relief- Beginning in April/May continuing into October you can stop by daily to 307 Edwards Ferry Road to pick up beautiful, fresh cut flowers in a vase or mason jar with a pretty ribbon. Leave a donation to Loudoun Interfaith Relief, which supplies one of the largest food pantries in the region.
